Short version: your bed photos stay on your phone, we never see your name, and your phone number gets used for one text. We don't sell anything to anyone.
The app
No accounts. You never sign up, so we never have your name, email, or password.
Bed photos. Photos are taken inside the app, shrunk down, and saved only on your phone. To check whether the bed is made, one photo is sent to our bed checker, which returns a score and a one-line comment. The photo is not stored on our servers and is not used to train anything. Photos never go to your camera roll unless you share them.
Alarm and settings. Your wake time, active days, streak, and history live on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Usage analytics. We use PostHog to see which screens get used, whether alarms fire, and where people get stuck. It's anonymous, it is not used for ad tracking, and bed photos are never part of it.
Feedback. If you send feedback or a feature request from inside the app, we get the text you typed, your app version, and your streak. Email is optional and only used to reply to you.
The website
Waitlist. If you enter your phone number on makeyabed.com, it gets stored so we can text you once when the app is live. We won't add you to anything else, share it, or sell it. Want it gone? Reply to the text or email us and it's deleted.
Kids
MakeYaBed is not for children under 13. If you think a child has given us a phone number, email us and we'll delete it.
